Green Bay Press-Gazette (WI) - November 26, 2007 Author: Green Bay Press-Gazette, Dian Page
Five senior boys and six senior girls were presented at the 75th annual Service League of Green Bay 's Charity Ball Saturday night at Oneida Golf and Country Club.
The seniors, presented in honor of their mothers' community service with the league, were Patrick Biebel, son of Dan and Kathy Biebel; George Campion, son of Bill and Jane Campion; Nicholas Bush, son of Terry and Nan Bush; Reed Schmidt, son of Fredrick and Teresa Schmidt; John Stoll, son of John and Pamela Stoll; Hope Carmichael, daughter of Don and Beverly Carmichael; Taylor Doran, daughter of David and Kelly Doran; Tricia Kiefer, daughter of Patrick and Ceci Kiefer; Maureen Riordan, daughter of Rob and Cathy Riordan; Shay Wegner, daughter of David and Lisa Wegner, and Kathlyn Braun, daughter of Joseph and Barbara Braun.
The presentation at 7 p.m. was followed by dinner and dancing, with music provided by Charisma.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the children of Brown County.
The league, founded in 1932, used proceeds in the early years to purchase sewing supplies and to help feed undernourished local children. In later years, the money helped purchase property for the Green Bay Day Nursery that grew into Encompass Child Care. Proceeds today help make newer projects such as the Back-to-School Store a success.
